Software & Cloud Engineer - 13+ years of experience
Hi there! My name's Sam, and I've been a dev for a few years.
I started my career working in a Software Engineer position, playing around with the AOSP (Android Open
Source Project).
This led me to do many things, from desktop application development to backend
development, infrastructure, and much more!
In July of 2022, I took a Cloud Engineer position, working on tooling and infrastructure to empower developers and help them go further, and more efficiently.
I love fixing real-life issues with code. I'm not against any technology. The more various the
better!
I do love frontend stuff, but frontend doesn't like me, so I decided to keep away from it : D
I'm currently working as a Cloud Engineer at Teads. My mission is to empower the other employees of the
company
to do their jobs as efficiently as possible.
We are building the tools and the associated infrastructure everybody at the company is using on a daily
basis.
I mostly worked on CI/CD topics, from creating the tools we use to manage our infrastructure as code to
building an entire CI environment to replace the legacy one.
I've also been involved in many smaller projects, such as x86 to ARM migration.
I started my career at Genymobile as a Linux system developer. I worked on porting the AOSP to x86,
running in a virtual machine.
Soon after, I also worked on the Desktop applications (for all major OS) and the backend.
After a few years, I moved to the SaaS version of the product. I helped build the entire system, from the
backend components to the servers and stacks management.
I even did a bit of frontend development, and it was awful (you're seeing this resume, so I think you
will agree that this is not my main selling point).
After my BAC, I join EPITECH to learn programming.
I had to quit after my 3rd year, I couldn't afford the last 2 years.
That's when I started looking for a job.
I fell in love with computer science when I was a kid. It simply never left me since then.
